Reminder - DCC Time Trials - Plan

Over recent years we have looked to put on Time Trial events through the summer for the members.  It is fair to say that the participation in these has been sporadic due to a number of reasons. At our AGM we were looking for someone to take on the role of Race Secretary to carry forward this for the club into 2023.  Unfortunately this role remains vacant.

However, at our last Committee meeting in February (see minutes) - Gordon McNeil has offered his services to set up and run some Time Trial events through the summer.  The intention is to have these on the same course (likely Glencaple) to allow riders to measure their improvements as we progress through the summer.  Rides will be controlled, run and timed as official TT's.  Plan is to pay cash on the night.  2023 Trophies will be raced for as part of this, across the relevant categories. 

Note - TT bike/equipment is NOT essential - this can be done on a standard road bike.  Also - participants must have front and rear lights fitted to comply with regulations.

We are looking for feedback from members on their likely participation in these events.  These events will only be organised IF there are suitable numbers interested.  Please reply to this message, or contact any Committee member by week commencing 17th April, so we can plan accordingly.
