Scottish Cycling are offering an exciting opportunity for women in our area to train as cycle ride leaders and lead cycle rides for women as part of the Breeze Ride Cycle Participation Programme. They are looking for women across Scotland to join the team of Breeze Champions and inspire more women to get fit, have fun and ride bikes. The goal is to create a collective of strong female role models to become a driving force behind the wider ambition to get one million more women cycling by 2020. We don’t need our Breeze Champions to be cycling experts, just confident riding a bike and passionate about getting women and girls active.
Trained Breeze Champions will receive exclusive Breeze Champion kit, British Cycling Ride membership and on-going support from Scottish Cycling and British Cycling to help them on their way.
There is no cost in attending the one-day course; in return participants deliver Breeze rides in their local area, supporting women to (re)discover the joys of cycling.
There are two upcoming opportunities to undertake this training in the South-West region this year.
